Barath Ferenc
Barath Ferenc

Born in Kanjiža, Yugoslavia, in 1946. Graphic designer and artist.
He was educated at High School of Fine Arts in Novi Sad (1961-1966) and continued his studies
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade(1967-1969).
He has worked as art editor at Forum Publisher(1969-1992), for two decades he worked for theatres
around the former Yugoslavia and he made his name as a theatre poster designer.
In 1992 moved to Hungary where he continued his work as a graphic designer and a theatre poster designer.
In 1994 he has established the Barat Art Graphic Design Studio. Work produced in this studio encompasses
a wide range of  graphic design disciplines. He is a member of the Vojvodina District Art Union (Serbia),
of the National Union of Hungarian Artists, Hungarian Union of  of The Art Directors Club of Serbia,
of the Hungarian Poster Association, of the Hungart Association.
Has taken part in the most important  international poster exhibitions and has held many individual

and group exhibitions  at home and abroad. His major awards include several best Yugoslav
and Hungarian poster and design prizes.
